I’m planning on getting my fiance an acoustic guitar, but I’m not sure which kind is the best to get him. Any suggestions? By the way he’s still kind of a novice.
mostly play rock/metal on my electric guitar but i am really into indie-acoustic stuff, and my telecaster does not quite give me the sound i am looking for. i am looking for a warm sounding, good for indie and "lighter music" such as bands islands, minus the bear, iron and wine, the shins are just a few examples. also what type of wood should i be looking at for this type of sound?

Is a electric guitar able to play without a cord and amp and all that other stuff? I may be planning on getting one. I am wondering if I will be able to carry it around with me outside, and play it every where I go, without a amp and all.

I have a chrome fender and right below my license plate are some areas of flaking rust. Its getting progressively worse but I believe there is still time that I can do something. I am not looking for an exact chrome match or total perfection. I’m just trying to prevent further rust. Is it possible/plausible to remove the flaked areas and to fill the area up with some sort of filler, sand and prime? Thank you in advance.
